A Monthly Wine Bar Announcement, a Wine Bag You’ll Want, and a Few Other Things
Plus: A great read on Georgian wine and an Italian sparkling wine producer everyone should know (if they don't already).
Hellllooooo!
In this week’s newsletter: We’re looking at two stories that dig into what it means to carry a tradition forward: Georgian women reviving 8,000 years of winemaking and an Italian grower in Lombardy rethinking what sparkling wine can be.
We’re also excited to share that we’re launching a monthly wine bar in collaboration with our dearest friends SuperVinoBros and Win Son (at their new Manhattan location)! We’ve long admired what Trigg and Josh have built with Win Son, and with our philosophies so aligned, this partnership felt inevitable. Starting tonight, find us there every second Thursday of the month from 5–10pm for a rotating by-the-glass list, featuring one-off selections, harder-to-find bottle and the occasional surprise.
Enjoy and thank you for reading!
How Women Are Breathing New Life Into Georgia’s 8,000-Year Wine Tradition
A new generation of Georgian winemakers are reviving ancient techniques and native grapes, reshaping one of the world’s oldest wine cultures for today. Their work blends tradition and experimentation, proving that the country’s 8,000-year winemaking history is still evolving.
How Nicola Gatta Turned Family Vineyards into Italy’s Most Innovative Sparkling Wine Project.
Italian sparkling wine has long lived in the shadow of Champagne. But in the hills of Lombardy, Nicola Gatta is reimagining what it can be, turning 8.5 hectares of calcareous soil into one of Italy’s most forward-thinking wine projects.
