A Vintage Duck Decanter, Vegas's Oldest Steakhouse Comes To NY, & James Beard Semifinalists Announced
Plus: one of our favorite wine bars celebrates its one-year anniversary, a Charleston restaurant pops up in the East Village, a profile of a Vermont winemaker we love, and more.
Happy Thursday! Here’s a wine fact to kick off the day:
Roughly 500–800 grapes are needed to produce a standard 750 ml bottle of wine, depending on grape variety and winemaking practices.
This week, we’re sharing a recently released profile of a Vermont winemaker, alongside a Wine Enthusiast piece from the summer highlighting the wines of Hungary.
Plus: pop-ups happening in New York over the next two weeks you won’t want to miss, a three-pack of our favorite Austrian wines, a cookbook we ride for, and more.
Enjoy, and thanks for reading.

Vermont wine may still be a foreign concept to some, but Camila Carrillo of La Montañuela is among a small group of winemakers shaping the region.
